The Brookes difference

An Opportunity to develop an area of interest

A special feature of the Brookes MBA is the option to carry out a consultancy project instead of a dissertation: you apply your learning and skills to a real business issue facing an organisation. There is also the opportunity to develop an area of interest through the study of electives and the development of a dissertation or consultancy project.

Coaching

Your MBA also takes advantage of the Business School's particular strengths in coaching and mentoring, to give you one-to-one support for your development. The School's International Centre for Coaching and Leadership Development is one of the foremost centres of its kind, and its expertise is available to all students on the Executive and Full-time programmes.

The Oxford Brookes MBA experience

Our MBA develops your career by building on your professional and managerial experience, drawing from the different cultural experiences of the MBA group. Students come from more than 60 countries around the world.

Developing your leadership capabilities lies at the heart of the Oxford Brookes MBA programme. In addition to the Leadership Development module, Full-time and Executive MBA students are exposed to a range of 'Leadership Challenges' throughout the programme. Every student will lead a team and gain feedback from fellow students as to how they might improve their approach to leadership. It provides an arena for MBA students to practice their leadership skills in order to develop a style relevant to their individual context.

We also believe in a 'collaborative' rather than 'competitive' approach to learning. Successful businesses operate through the co-operation and collaboration of others, both within the business and as customers and suppliers. We are therefore more interested in you and your development than in where you are ranked amongst your peers. This underlies our approach to teaching, learning and assessment.

All programmes are supported by bespoke and exclusive learning materials developed specifically for your MBA.

Quality

The Oxford Brookes MBA is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and EPAS. Accreditation provides reassurance of your degree's value and relevance, and that your qualification will be recognised by employers as carrying a stamp of quality assurance.

The Association of MBAs' accreditation service is internationally recognised as the global standard for all MBA programmes. EPAS accreditation is awarded by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), which establishes a global quality measure for business and management programmes.

AMBA and EPAS accreditations mean that you can be certain that the entire MBA provision at Oxford Brookes University Business School has passed a rigorous independent assessment.

Oxford Brookes University Business School subscribes to the AMBA Group Membership Scheme. This provides current students and alumni with membership to a wider MBA community across the globe, enabling you to participate in events and access AMBA's career resources and job opportunities.

"The learning felt very real and cutting edge."
